The Answer to Disease

The Answer to Disease

“Natural forces within us are the true healers of disease.” ~ Hippocrates

There has always been, and always will be, one thing to heal the body of cancer, any acquired disease, and many genetically predispostional diseases.

The human immune system.

The immune system is designed to defend the body against foreign or dangerous invaders. Such invaders include microorganisms (commonly called germs, such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi), parasites (such as worms), cancer cells . . .” ~ Merk Manual

When functioning properly, the immune system identifies a variety of threats, and distinguishes them from the body’s own healthy tissue.
All of us have microscopic cancers growing in our bodies at all times.
A healthy immune system, using various methods, incapacitates those cells on a regular basis.
When the immune system becomes overwhelmed, weakened or compromised, cancer cells proliferate. They thrive. They grow unchecked.

90–95% of all cancer cases have their roots in the environment and lifestyle.”
~ National Institutes of Health

The answer to cancer and other diseases lies not in drugging, poisoning, cutting or irradiating the body.

These things weaken the very system you need to keep strong in order to stay healthy and fight disease.

The answer lies in doing everything possible to stimulate the immune system.  To strengthen it and give it every advantage, enabling it to do its job.

So, anything that enhances the immune system, will help your body eliminate cancer.

TO INVIGORATE THE IMMUNE SYSTEM:

Hydrate.
Drink plenty of pure, un-chlorinated, un-fluoridated water, the true elixir of life. If water was all you drank, you’d do better than ever. This helps maintain the needed level of lymph fluids in the body. For additional benefits, queeze a quarter of an organic lemon into your water.
“Pure water is the world’s first and foremost medicine.” ~ Slovakian Proverb
Eliminate.
~ As many toxins as possible.

. . . the aluminum in your deodorant, the fluoride in your toothpaste, the pesticides in your food, the formaldehyde in your carpets and furniture, the mercury in your vaccines, the cyanide in your B12 . . .

~ Your microwave oven. Microwaves change the chemical structure of your food, tearing molecules apart, and rendering some nutrients inert at best, and carcinogenic at its worst.

~ Sugar. I am referring to processed sugar and sugars added to foods.  Sugar is fuel for cancer cells. If you can’t eliminate it, at least cut back. Use raw honey, pure maple syrup, coconut sugar.  And remember to read labels.  How many grams of sugar (or fructose, or high fructose corn syrup etc.) are in that slice of bread, can or box of food?  One should limit daily intake to 20 grams or less. Did you know that a can of Coke gives you approximately 10 teaspoons of (bad) sugar, over 40 grams, with absolutely no nutritional advantage?

~ Processed foods, genetically engineered foods, foods laden with pesticides, herbcides, additives and preservatives . . . all these tax the immune system.

~ Allergy causing foods. Hidden food allergies are responsible for many ailments, from migraines to leaky gut to inflammation.

Begin with a fast and add foods back to your diet one at a time, never introducing more than one in the morning and one in the evening to allow time for slower acting allergies to appear. When you experience symptoms, you know what to avoid.

~ Worry about anything . . . especially about stress!

~ Anger – one minute of anger will depress the immune system for 6 hours.
Fast.
“Therapeutic [water] fasting accelerates the healing process and allows the body to recover from serious disease in a dramatically short period of time.” ~ Joel Fuhrman, M.D.

This can be anything from intermittent fasting to a fast lasting several days or weeks.

Fasting initiates the body’s own healing mechanisms, rests the digestive system, promotes mental clarity, allows for cleansing of the emotional and physical bodies,

Up to 35% of your body’s energy is expended digesting and assimilating food. Fasting allows more of your body’s energy to be used for fighting infection, healing and cell repair.

Warning: You should NOT fast if you are pregnant, nursing, under 18 years old, extremely frail, weak, undernourished, have an eating disorder, have recently had surgery or are afraid to fast.
Cleanse.
Internally, that is. Detox the digestive tract.

“In the 50 years I’ve spent helping people to overcome illness, disability and disease, it has become crystal clear that poor bowel management lies at the root of most peoples’ health problems.” Bernard Jensen, D.C. Ph.D

“70% of the cells of the immune system are in the wall of the gut.” ~ Johns Hopkins Medicine

The chronic inflammation linked to most of the diseases that kill people in the developed world today – heart disease, cancer, diabetes – may begin with dysfunctional gut microbiota.

From the foods we eat to improper combinations of foods, from the antibiotics we take to the poisons we consume, our intestines have become clogged, bound and ineffective, severely hampering our ability to fight disease. Cleaning them out goes a long way toward boosting your immune system, fighting disease and allowing for maximum absorption of nutrients.
Eat.
The food you eat can be either the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison.” ~ Ann Wigmore

Eat healthy organic whole foods. Remember with fruits and vegetables, the more colorful, the better. Grapes for instance – opt for the darker red or purple over the pale green ones. They have more healthy phytoalexins.

. . . strong evidence shows that a diet filled with a variety of plant foods such as vegetables, fruits and beans helps lower risk for many cancers.” ~ American Institute for Cancer Research

Anti-cancer foods include kale, cabbage, broccoli, Tomato, cauliflower, bok choy, blood orange, brussel sprouts, cucumber, garlic, spinach, berries, avacado, seeds (flax, hemp, chia, pomagranate, pumpkin . . .) and lots more!

Steer clear of disease-causing meats from feedlots and other CAFOs (Confined Animal Feeding Operations). These have been raised with antibiotics which destroy your natural gut flora, toxic chemicals, GMOs and growth hormones which negatively change your DNA.
Reduce.
~ Chronic stress. Especially feeling overwhelmed, overpowered or overworked, can wreak havoc on your immune system and can impact your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, brain chemistry, blood sugar levels, and hormonal balance.

The benefits of meditation, positive prayer, exercise, conscious breathing techniques, massage, laughter, energy healing such as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and any other method that reduces stress, well, can’t be stressed enough.

~ Your waistline.
Obesity is associated with increased risks of cancer.” ~ National Cancer Institute
MOVE.  Walk – Dance – Rebound – Inverted Yoga Positions.
An important supporter of the Immune system is the Lymphatic System, a defense mechanism for the body. It filters out organisms that cause disease, produces white blood cells, and generates disease-fighting antibodies. It also distributes fluids and nutrients in the body and drains excess fluids and waste so that tissues do not swell.

It is critical to our body’s ability to detoxify, nourish and regenerate tissue, filter out metabolic waste and inorganic material, and maintain a healthy immune system.

However, unlike the circulatory system which has the heart to pump blood throughout the body, the lymph system does not have it’s own organ/muscle to pump fluid but relies on mini muscle contractions and manual manipulation.

Inactive = bad
Active = Good

BTW – there are about 8 pints of blood in an adult and about twice that of lymph fluids.
Breathe.
Deep abdominal breathing is another essential way we can enhance movement of lymph through our bodies and accelerate the elimination of wastes.

Get in the habit of practicing proper, conscious breathing throughout the day – When you arise from bed, when you are waiting in line at the bank, as you wait for sleep to come.
Dry Skin Brushing.
Taking only one to two minutes, this practice is super for invigorating the lymph flow, immune system, blood circulation, elimination of toxins, and more.

Massage.
Increases blood and lymphatic flow. Accelerates detoxification. Oxygenates cells. Relaxes and energizes simultaneously. Improves total wellbeing.

You don’t have to spring for a professional massage, although if you can afford it, do. Consider “swapping” massages with a friend, significant other or even one of your kids. Even if you don’t know what you’re doing at first, you will quickly learn and everyone benefits.

Warning: Do not massage a person with a fever, serious circulatory problems such as thrombosis, hemorrhage (bleeding), or major cardiac problems.
Sweat.
You can support your body’s natural detoxification through perspiration. A weekly sauna (including far infrared), a daily soak in a hot tub, or a frequent steam bath can facilitate the healthy removal of waste through the skin’s pores, lessening the load on the lymph system. Besides, cancer cells are sensitive to heat – they don’t do well in hyperthermia.

In 1868, German-American doctor in Philadelphia, Peter Busch, M.D., had a patient who was a 43-year-old woman with a severe case of sarcoma of the face. He observed that her cancer went away after she suffered a fever of 105 degrees Fahrenheit from a strep infection.

Further investigation proved that both natural and doctor-induced high fever, kills the cancer cells throughout the body without harming any healthy cells or the immune system.

Warning: Do not use heat if you have an infection, serious circulatory problems such as thrombosis, hemorrhage (bleeding), major cardiac problems, are pregnant or nursing.
Sleep.
Poor sleep can impact virtually every aspect of your health, contributing to depression, fatigue, numerous types of heart problems, anxiety, increased accidents, stroke, diabetes, attention deficit, impaired memory, lower libido, increased tension, accelerated aging, weight gain, impaired judgement, and inability to fight infections and recover from illness.
Laughter.
One minute of laughter will boost the immune system for 24 hours.
Music.
Whether you listen to it, play it or sing it, music is definitely therapeutic, having the ability to relieve stress, relax and heal.

If you have never been, step out of your comfort zone and attend a drumming circle. You don’t have to play – just close your eyes and let the communal beat carry you along.
Or go to a free concert in the park.
Sing with abandon when you are alone. Or with others for fun.
Volunteer.
Volunteers have longer life spans and are healthier in general than those who don’t volunteer. The benefits can be found under the “Keys for Healing” on this site.
